in 2006, lone student Erich Bumm made the trip. upon arriving in France, we made a whirlwind tour of the country, starting in Paris, taking the train to meet up with a friend of mine in Metz, then driving down all the way to the Côte d'Azur, to Frejus and Saint Tropez. Renting a car in Avignon, we continued through Montpellier and the Pyrenées, up through the Dordogne, to Sarlat la Canéda, and finally making a beeline for Annecy, all the way across to the Alps. Quite a trooper.
being the only American student that year, Erich got a full dose of interaction with the French team. we animated colloquial French sayings, also providing their English equivalents.
